Hakutsuru Draft Sake

Okay, so I haven't had sake in years and I thought I'd pick up this cheap little bottle ($6.25/300ml) to give it a try. I'm sure there are good sakes out there and maybe I just need to drop a little more cash to find them, but when you taste stuff like this at the low end of the spectrum it makes it hard to take the plunge and put down good money to try a more premium example. Maybe this is really not that bad but it's definitely not to my taste. Here are my notes: Brilliant, colourless. Subtle nose, somewhat floral, fruity and a bit medicinal. Dryish, quite neutral but I feel like I'm taking a swig from a bottle of industrial solvent... very chemical/industrial. Rather than dump it down the drain I mixed it with lychee flavoured pop and lime juice to wipe out the chemical flavour... it was the only way I could finish it.
