La Griffe Bernard Chereau Muscadet Sevre et Main Sur Lie 2006
(3 months ago)Medium-straw hue. Moderately aromatic nose offering apple, popcorn and citrus. Tart and dry on the palate with a clean, citrus and mineral driven flavour profile. Rounder in the mid-palate than the attack suggests with some popcorn-y, biscuit-y flavours due to the sur lie aging. A bit of pleasant astringency. Good quality. Typical of region and grape variety. Excellent choice for shellfish.
