I bought it for the label but loved the wine - very drinkable to me. I'm nowhere near experienced but I enjoyed it and was sad to see they stopped making it.

Although classified as a California Claret, it's truly a meritage (25% merlot, 41% cabernet, 34% zinfandel) that goes great with just about anything. This is the perfect table wine that goes great with a cheeseburger, or a filet mignon.

Full flavored that fills the mouth with cherries and spice. Scents of red currant and cloves.

Truly one of my favorite wines.
