Tres Pinos 2006 Tierra Roja
(7 months ago)The nose expresses berry, anise, and tannin. Noticeable alcohol, a departure from the 2005. Very clean. Always good to have a clean nose... Definite cherry and berry in the taste, which is very pleasant at first, but turns astringent toward the finish. I like the fruit, but this one needs some time to mature.

(3 months ago)Very fruit forward, so it had the yum factor, cherries, licorice. Oddly enough it was a little sweet, but I liked it like that. A little high on the alcohol.

(3 months ago)Mildly floral nose scents of Lavender medium body hints of tart blackberry with soft tannins. Has that slightly bitter after-taste of many merlot and syrah wines. Mr "Out Of the Box" also noted floral nose "Like Roses" Hints of blackberry a little dry with plum finish.
