2006 Casa de la Ermita Jumilla Monastrell
(3 months ago)Very young looking red, with some transparency and good clarity. The nose is really what I enjoyed the most about this wine. The nose is complex and exotic, while pleasant, showing half vegetable and half fruity characteristics, namely beets, carrots, and red bell pepper, and young cherries, raspberries, and strawberries. Medium bodied wine that enters showing its full tannic and fruit potential. Evolves very little in mouth, and exits with tannic, young, and medium finish. Shows a good character that undoubtedly would pair nicely with paella, or even lamb chops.
