At forst sense, nose is quite powdery and has a bit of a bite. Extremely (to the point of too) jammy at the first, with quite a bite of pepper. As taste lingers, it's very dry and powdery, but surprisingly not an unpleasant powdery taste. Heavy on the tannins on the end. This wine is quite like a Zinfandel, which is not expected from the blend. Not shocked that I am not that crazy about it because of the heavy Merlot percentage in this one, but at the same time I am surprised that I wasn't put off by the heavy Merlot influence. A good wine for a weeknight, but don't waste your time if you're looking for something memorable.
