Not overly fancy but very easy to drink, not at all tannic. Most of the flavor is in the middle with some pepper on the finish. Subtle dark cherry and plum fruit flavors. I really liked this wine.

I knew as soon as I tasted it that I had finally found that great "steak" wine. But as rich as it is, it's still quite easy to drink long after the steak is gone. The 56 year old Zinfandel vines and the 20% Petite Syrah blend make a great combination of smoke and black cherry. Easy tannins and silky mouthfeel have me looking forward to winter.
