2006 2006 Turning Leaf Pinot Noir Baden
(2008-11-17 03:37:55 UTC)Wine is a crystal clear burgundy with hints of brown. Nose is typical pinot with a hint of something slightly funky. Body is very light with some bitterness. Finish is short and unremarkable. I'm not impressed.
On day two, the funky off flavor is gone and is replaced by a slightly spicy finish and some tannin. The wine is now drinkable, but I will not purchase this again.

(2008-10-13 03:20:11 UTC)I bought this wine to drink at home with a dinner of green lentil salad (which was very tasty--bacon and onions can spice up anything). I opened the bottle, poured two (disturbingly pale colored) glasses, and tried it. I didn't know they could water wine down like that. Communion at the local Presbyterian church, anyone? I was so surprised by how bad it was that I rushed to the computer to see if anyone else was as unimpressed by this winemaker's efforts (or lack thereof) as I was, and, well, zachhale beat me to it.
Bland, Bland, Bland. It's a starter wine for anemic 8 year old hypochondriacs.

(2008-09-25 20:37:12 UTC)I had not eaten anything any time near that would have interfered with the flavor and I still found it to be bland and almost flavorless.
It was watery and had almost no flavors to latch on to that I could even begin to describe.
I'll give it a 60 because while it wasn't very good, it did have alcohol and I could vaguely tell it was actually wine.
