2001 Poggio Le Coste barbaresco
(over 2 years ago)Let me put it this way: I drank this bottle with Bill (who had thoughtfully decanted it for a few hours beforehand) three days ago and I'm still trying to find spots on my tongue where remnants of the wine may still be (to no avail). Damn if I remember enough to write some bullshit tasting notes. But I do remember that there were dusty tannins, savory red fruits, and a sexy, light body.
2001 Poggio Le Coste barbaresco
(about 1 year ago)It started out all wrong... the nose has shades of ...what is it? ... eau de Mr. Pibb. The taste is slightly acidic. Came back later and tasted it and it did not keep well. Overall, still a drinkable wine but not a good deal for the price.
