The nose starts with a nice sweet raisin aroma, then the wine hits you with a bunch of wild berries and leather, and the taste lingers on for a nice long finish. I really enjoyed this wine, and you'll especially like it if you enjoy a fruit-forward, full-bodied zin with a good balance of intensity versus character. Also, I usually don't worry too much about wine/food pairings, but I fully concur with the label that this wine goes well with a pepper-crusted red meat. I read the back of the bottle after the fact, but it just happened to be what we prepared and it matched perfectly.
