BOTTLE: Fun, a break from the Domaine Alfred label with it's Red and Yellow label. I assume this is 50 / 50 due to the varietal break down of 50% Pinot / 50% Syrah. NOSE: The perfect blend of Blueberry and Spice. It doesn't resonate out of the glass, but once it is swirled it smeels fantastic. Just a hint of earthy undertones. PALETE: Blueberry and Plum with Black Pepper and nicely rounded tannins. Undertones of dirt and earth, but just slightly. This is a fruit forward wine, but I would not classify as a fruit Bomb. FINISH: A tad dry but a finish that lasts 15 - 20 seconds with a little heat that lasts about 5 seconds past that. NOTES: This is an 89 Point wine for me with a great QPR. Picked it up on a whim and thouroughly enjoy it. Only 2,500 cases made. Seek out and enjoy now over the next 12 months.

I love Edna Syrah, I really like Edna Pinot - any bets on how I like this wine? Fruit-forward with depth from the blend. Blueberry/Strawberry juice with a nice loamy backdrop. Simple and seriously fucking yummy.
