From the bottle: "Rich tropical aromas of papaya, mango and apricot dominate the elegant bouquet." A super-sweet (as with most ice wines) and truly tasty wine. It has a thick, syrupy feel to it, with a fruity taste. An excellent experience, even if a 187 mL quarter-bottle will set you back twenty bucks.

Wow, this is just as good as wines twice the price (ex: Dolce). Peaches and apricots build an awesome bouquet. The taste profile also shows peaches and apricots, thick feel on the palate. Though sweet, not the overpowering sugary taste you too often find in these wines.

This is a *superior* dessert wine. I usually serve it with homemade truffles, although it pairs beautifully with my mother's pear tarte tatin also. On the nose, strong scents of peaches, melon, honey, lychee, and pear. On the mouth, the fruit tastes come through beautifully, with very strong honey flavors. The wine has enough acid to keep it just a little sprightly, though: it's lush, but NEVER cloying. This is good enough to be served alone as a dessert, and graceful enough to pair with a variety of sweet foods, especially french-inspired pastries (where the wine cuts through the starches of the pastry to lift ordinary desserts into the heights of the divine), or chocolates (particularly bittersweet chocolate, where it adds just the right hint of sweetness to the experience). Combine that versatility with an attractive price for a dessert wine, and this is rapidly becoming my go-to wine for very special occasions. Serve it on any occasion that a Sauternes-sweet wine is called for: this is superior to most Sauternes that I've tasted.
