A thick, deep purple in the glass, the aromas from this wine took no time attacking my nose with gorgeous dark chocolate and sweet cherry. Mid bodied and with high acidity the wine is smooth and fruity with a supple engaging finish. Nothing complex here but simply delicious and typical Barbera. 87 Points - a perfect food wine.

This is a beautiful wine and had nice legs.
My first impressions in smell and taste are tart cherries and some spice with hints of grass and melon. There was a bitter bitthy grapefruit after taste as well. This wine is not very sweet and did not leave my mouth dry.
I enjoyed this wine and I would recommend drinking it with something that can match its boldness, like chocolate, red meat, or a really creamy pasta.

I love this wine. Attacks with an array of dried fruits on the nose along with an almost dried cheddar cheese and red curry situation as well. The taste is acidic and herbal for the most part with some hidden tart fruit lingering around. I had this with some herb and red pepper motzarella chunks and it was poppin! Very good food wine for hardly any money. Drink now through 2011.
