NV Campos Reales Tempranillo
(2009-10-15 23:39:04 UTC)The tempranillo is one of my favorite, and I believe underated wines. Tempranillo is made from a variety of black grape to make full-bodied red wine. The first time I had a tempranillo was on a visit to Napa and I fell in love with its bold flavors and everyday drinkability. A lot of casual wine drinkers have never ventured out of the cabernets and pinots, so I find this is a great addition to any social gathering.
The Campos Reales 2008 has a fresh aroma with a strong fruit flavor. It has a strong cherry essence and a strong finish, however this wine is very easy to drink in mass quantities which honestly is probably why I love it so much. As a poor girl trying to make her way in the advertising world, I would say the best part about this wine is the price point at less than $8 a bottle.
