Nose is rich on the slate and menthol and citrus, but give it time and it evens out into honey. This has a flavor I've never really encountered before; starting with slate, running through a citrus of some type, then finishing with tons of slate and astringency.... but not insultingly. There's a hint of sweetness, maybe apple, throughout. Very drinkable and excellent with food.

Toh-Kai is a very distinct varietal, and this is harvested in Brda, Slovenia, have you tried Movia yet? Another great wine from Slovenia

Very rich yellow color, leaning toward orange. Serious spearmint and menthol on the nose overshadowing some basic appley fruit. It’s goes for the odd trifecta (color, nose and palate) with jarring nutty, salty, medicinal notes on top of ripe melon flavors. The wine has an oily texture and the finish is medicinal and seems hot (though it’s only 12.5%), almost like Listerine.

This is one of those bottles that is just so different from what I typically drink that I don’t know how to judge it. I can’t say I really enjoy the flavor profile. But for $9 (at Costco), it was worth it to me just to experience something out of the ordinary. I doubt you’ll make it your house white, but if you’re looking for something unusual, give it a go.

got a spearmint silver silk thing on the nose, LUSH ample body on attack, HOLLOW mid palate, nice almond lemon acidity on back end. very one dimensional. i really just cant stop listening to the converge.

Great value-driven, atypical white. Aromas of mint, lime, and mock-orange blossom - very delicate and floral on the nose. Powerful attack of citrus and acidity on the front end transitions to baked apple and lime, finishing with almonds, herbs, and petrol. Good, long refreshing finish.
