This wine has a great ruby color with hints of brown at the edges of a decanter. The nose includes black fruit, meat and bits of earth. The wine is really is heavy on the palate. There are several layers of flavor making this wine deep and dense. There are licorice notes on a full bodied structure. Everything tastes well made. This wine will have an aroma of alcohol until it is decanted. I expect this would go away with time in the cellar (so check the date of this review). If you are going to drink now you should give this wine an hour to two to breathe as it decants. This is a good wine that might score better in the future.
