Nose: pomegranate, fennel,mushrooms, sour cherries, skittles.

Taste: blueberry,blackberry,cranberry dried mushrooms, damp cave,fennel, cherry. For $10-$12 this is a great buy.

Tasted blind with about 10 other value merlots from around the world. This was the clear cut winner, beating Columbia Crest and some other better known wineries. Blueberries and strawberry jolly ranchers on the nose. Cherry and strawberry on the pal. Medium finish. Not bad, good value.

Strong notes of dark cherry layered over licorice and peat. This is a good wine to sip on as you read a book by a warm fire - which is where I wish I was right now.
