Noccetto 2005 Rosato di Sangiovese

After the fabulous 2003 and 2004 vintages of the Nocetto Rosato di Sangiovese, the 2005 vintage is a huge disappointment. The color is quite pale, though not too pale. The nose actually has a bit of glue about it. The flavor was disappointingly cloyingly sweet. Too bad we have five more bottles of this stuff; we'll have to make Sangria out of it. If you find any 2004 vintage, buy it up, but avoid the 2005. Score: 11/20.
