NOSE-stawberry cough medicine nose, Ricola candy, TASTE-much more polished & integrated than the Vacqueyras, very smooth on finish, much red fruit (cherry, strawberry, red cassis), a little gaminess, little oaked; drinking well for 5-7 years; http://tv.winelibrary.com/2006/11/13/big-annoucements-episode-126/

Intense purple color; I can only imagine what my teeth looked like. A lot of alcohol in the nose, but the fruit made up for it. Awesome cherry and blueberry flavor, with the floral and herbal overtones I am such a sucker for, and a very long and pleasant finish. Not just a flash in the pan, I was sad to see the last mouthful go. I don't usually like such ripe wines, but this one was a winner.
