(over 2 years ago)For the price, this blend is hard to beat. Very drinkable, even for younger palates, but still has character to make tipplers happy.
Folie a Deux 2004 Menage a Trois California Red
(over 2 years ago)Purchased because of it's silly name, it was one of the better reds I have had recently. Enjoyed it with crackers before dinner. I was impressed enough that I will look for it again and try the vineyards other wines.
Folie a Deux 2004 Menage a Trois California Red
(over 2 years ago)This is one of my "go-to" wines for when I'm not sure what's being served, or when I'm not sure if my guests enjoy wine. It's a basic good quality blended red, with just a touch of sweetness. Goes well with just about anything, including pizza and hamburgers. For the price, it's a great simple table wine that just about everyone could enjoy

(over 2 years ago)Like mashby this is one of my goto wines when I'm in a jam. Nice complicated taste, goes well with anything. The white is tasty too.

(over 2 years ago)Excellent wine, and one of my favorites in the "bang for your buck" category. Can be had for well under $10. It's a steal!

(over 2 years ago)great bang for the buck - wish there were more more meritages like this - peppery zin, up front fruit and easy drinking

(over 2 years ago)A great value for the price. I've seen it at BevMo for $8.49. This blend holds up to most food and is, as everyone else has said, a good go-to wine for most occasions.
Folie a Deux 2004 Menage a Trois California Red
(over 2 years ago)Quite lovely and surprisingly nice for a triple blend from California. Full bodied, very little tannon taste, simply complex... not too many layers but interesting enough to not be a plain table wine. Succulent. Great with red meat or grilled veggie dishes that do not have overpowering flavors (stay away from extremely garlicy dishes - this will not stand up).

(over 2 years ago)Desi and I drank a bottle of this fantastic wine tonight while watching Memoirs of a Geisha. We were very pleasantly surprised! Not too bitter, not too sweet. The perfect red... mmm.
Folie a Deux 2004 Menage a Trois California Red
(over 2 years ago)Emphasis on "table wine" but in a good way. There is lots of raspberry and blackberry in the forefront with herbaceous tones and noticeable black pepper as well. You’re casual wine drinking friends will say "yummy". Very approachable.
Folie a Deux 2004 Menage a Trois California Red
(over 2 years ago)As another one of the reviewers here I bought the wine mostly because of the name. This has been the best wine I have tasted for a while. Not too sweet, and can easily be enjoyed by itself. Just right for me to want another one.

(over 2 years ago)Was given to me from a friend who "owed me one" and was very pleased by the taste. It was fruity and thick but not heavy at all on the tannins...buy it at Target and save a few bucks

Folie a Deux 2004 Menage a Trois California Red
(about 1 year ago)Tasty, drinkable, and accessible. I'd buy it again. Much more interesting, BTW, than the Menage a Trois white, which I found bracing and not well integrated.

(about 1 year ago)A very good value for the cost and I have found that even people who do not "like" red wines seem to drink and enjoy this wine.

(about 1 year ago)Had this with my Grandfather. I dont think the name was appreciated by all, but the wine sure was. Very interesting blend.
Folie a Deux 2004 Menage a Trois California Red
(9 months ago)Found this at the grocery store for $11 and remebered Gary trying at one point, so I bought a bottle. Full of Black fruit and Asian spice with white and black pepper. Very Good. Went back to Publix and bought a case. Got lucky when the cashier saw me with these and gave me 5 coupons for $2 off 5 of the bottles. Nearly half the case was $9 per bottle. What a deal for a very very good wine.
