This was a fun wine to drink. Though the tannins hadn't quite mellowed out yet making it a bit austere, it was full of plum and berry with a little bit of spice and minerals. Though you could taste the fruit, it had a bit more finesse than new world wines. It was more old style, which made it interesting to taste. Wine Spectator gave it a 91.
