Anglim 2004 Reserve Viognier

A superb viognier. I got it with my mom in mind, who likes viognier but who, I suspected, had never had a good one. She basically bogarted the rest of the bottle after one glass and we haven't seen her since. On a more technical note, this viognier is bigger than most so it can be paired with more foods than you'd expect of a viognier. It's got a nice honeysuckle note with a substantial minerality so it's a happy medium for fans of fruitier whites and those (like myself) who prefer a bit more steel or minerality as balance. It features a satisfying finish that's not cloying, which is typical of many viogniers, but pleasant and satisfying. Highly recommend.
