The latest vintage of the 'Albamar' Cab offers tremendous value with aromas of ripe black fruit, rose pedals and orange peel. It's dry, medium full-bodied with bright fruit flavours surrounded by moderate acids and softening tannins leading to a fairly lengthy finish. Pair with grilled portobello mushrooms.(Vintages panel, May 2006)

Yet another winner from William Cole. Very nice, dark red colour. Berries and vanilla on the nose. More red berries on the palette with a nice mix of vanilla and coffee. The tannins are definitely present but feel soft, not too harsh. There is also a nice level of acidity which I think made it go well with the steak I was having. That being said if I was to buy more I would throw it in the cellar for 3-5 years, I think there is enough fruit to hold up and I would like to see the tannins come down further.
