The latest vintage of the 'Albamar' Cab offers tremendous value with aromas of ripe black fruit, rose pedals and orange peel. It's dry, medium full-bodied with bright fruit flavours surrounded by moderate acids and softening tannins leading to a fairly lengthy finish. Pair with grilled portobello mushrooms.(Vintages panel, May 2006)

Albamar Cabernet Sauvignon Reserve 2004
(about 1 year ago)Yet another winner from William Cole. Very nice, dark red colour. Berries and vanilla on the nose. More red berries on the palette with a nice mix of vanilla and coffee. The tannins are definitely present but feel soft, not too harsh. There is also a nice level of acidity which I think made it go well with the steak I was having. That being said if I was to buy more I would throw it in the cellar for 3-5 years, I think there is enough fruit to hold up and I would like to see the tannins come down further.
