(from back of bottle) A rich, ripe Shiraz with subtle spicy wood aromas and generous mouth-filling fruit flavour. Its soft finish makes it easy to drink with a wide range of foods. The grapes are grown in the Barossa Valley, South Australia, on the Holmes' family property. The vineyards are interspersed with fields of grazing sheep, giving rise to the image on the logo. - Winemaker, R.E. Day

I received this wine as a gift from an old roommate's house guest. She stayed with us for a month or so and this is what I received for my troubles... The wine had a bit of a bite to it when first out of the bottle, but more than doubled in quality with some time to breathe. All in all, a solid, drinkable wine with a good hearty berry flavor.
