Wente Chardonnay Riva Ranch Reserve 2004
(over 2 years ago)The blending of this wine makes it much more interesting the wente's traditional chardonnay. There's a fair amount of buttery-ness to it (if you're into that kind of thing). It's got a pleasant amount of sweet fruitiness (mango? peach?), and just a hint of bite (I’m guessing from the Gewurztraminer). All in all, a pretty darned decent chardonnay, especially if you can catch it on sale at Safeway for ~$12.
