A strong black cherry taste was my first impression of this white Merlot. It left an oak aftertaste, but overall was very sweet, fairly fruity, especially at room temperature. Leave it on your tongue a few seconds to taste a little pepper. Chilled, it came a little too close to cherry syrup. This wine's color straddles pink and bright red -- if the Cork'd logo were a shade brighter and transparent, you'd see Merlot.

This wine tasted sticky and syrupy sweet, like an off-brand cherry soda served a bit warm. My husband liked it alright, so to some it will be drinkable. Avoid if you have bad memories of cherry cough syrup.
